Got a lot out of 'Calculus'

So, I decided to finally tackle 'Calculus' again and gave Brilliant a try. It was actually pretty cool! The way they explain things with those little interactive puzzles really clicks with my brain. It wasn't like boring old textbooks at all. I managed to get through quite a bit more than I expected. Felt good about the progress I made.

Always a great learning experience

I've been a subscriber for a while now, primarily for their math and computer science courses. This time I went through 'Algorithm Design'. Just like my previous courses, the content was consistently high quality and the interactive format really works for me. It's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect and they always deliver. No surprises, just solid learning.

So much fun learning!

I just finished the 'Neural Networks' course and it was amazing! The way they break down complex topics into bite-sized, interactive problems is just brilliant. I actually understood everything! I'm already planning my next course, maybe 'Quantum Mechanics'! Can't wait to learn more. Seriously recommend this to everyone interested in STEM!

Good for learning math

I tried the 'Foundational Mathematics' course. It was clear and interactive. The problems helped reinforce concepts. I liked the step-by-step approach. Definitely useful for brushing up on basics.

Comprehensive 'Data Analysis' course

I purchased the 'Data Analysis' course to improve my professional skills. The signup process was straightforward on their website. I started with the free trial, which let me explore some lessons before committing. The course content itself is excellent, covering various tools and techniques with practical examples. I found the explanations clear, and the interactive problems really helped solidify my understanding. I did have a small question about a specific problem, and their support responded within a day, which was helpful. Overall, it's a very well-structured platform for learning complex topics.

Decent value for annual plan

I signed up for the annual subscription after seeing a 20% off deal. I was looking to learn some 'Python Programming' without spending too much. The content is pretty good, and the interactive exercises make it engaging. For the price I paid, it feels like a solid investment in my skills. Much better than some other platforms I looked at, especially with the discount.

Is the student discount hard to get? Like do they make you jump through hoops to prove you're a student?

W Wendy 2 months ago
Not really, I just had to upload a pic of my student ID. Took like a day for them to verify.

My school email was enough, super easy. They use some third-party thing for verification but it was quick.

Thinking of getting a subscription, but wondering if it's actually helpful for someone totally new to coding, like really, really new. Or is it more for people who already have some basics down?

C Cody 3 months ago
Nah, it's pretty good for beginners. I started with their Python course having zero experience and it made a lot of sense. The interactive stuff really helps you get it.

I'd say it leans a bit more into the 'you've seen a variable before' camp, but they do explain things from scratch for most concepts. The problem-solving approach might be a bit much if you literally don't know what a computer program is, but otherwise, you should be fine.
